I read this too quickly and missed the word “iMac”. I thought this was The Onion lol

larger iMac is sorely needed. Wonder if it’ll come with any design changes though (such as… a notch?)

Loved my 27” iMac but ever since going to a Mac Mini with my own display, I can’t ever go back to an iMac unless they allow me to use the iMac’s display with other devices. I’d be back immediately if they did as their displays are gorgeous.

I’m in exactly the same boat. Now that a Mini is a powerhouse and can be replaced more easily and cheaply than an iMac with an integrated display, I’m going to replace my 27" with a mini (or a studio) and a nice large display.

I’d like to pair it with the Apple display, but it’s outrageously expensive, and the newly released Samsung studio display (ViewFinity S9) might be a reasonable option.

Got to use my mom’s 27” iMac this week to help her with an issue and it was glorious. Currently on a 20” monitor. I’ve been holding off buying an iMac because I want more space and I love the iMac’s 5K screens. There are too many compromises with other PC monitors. This would be an instabuy for me if true.
