According to this site their CEO made 212 million yen, or about 1.4 million USD, last year, 64% of which were the actual salary. So around 900k USD.
According to PayScale Capcom pays over 80k CAD, or about 60k USD, on average over all professions in Canada, giving a factor of 11 and change for the CEO-to-worker salary ratio.

So while their CEO certainly has money to spare, it’s far from the ridiculous ratios we see in some companies. Apparently they also handed out 30% average raises for employees last year.
So definitely not the worst example of a company.

Capcom President Says “Only rich people should be able to afford games, because the filthy peasants should spend all their time laboring”

Sure, but you raise wages and also release the full game for the price. None of this 70 dollar game and you have to pay for dlc to get an actual complete game.

$60 is already pushing it for me, anything more and I’m probably not gonna be buying it. Especially when indie games are cheaper, and I tend to like them more than the AAA $60-or-more games anyway.

I already had a tough time justifying 60$ full released games. I usually always wait For reviews to ensure that if I drop 60$ on a game, I can justify it as a game I know I’ll enjoy. Or just wait for a price drop or sales.

70$ is too much for me. Any more than that? Honeslty I can’t justify.
