From the article it seems like it only affects Chrome and it would take a lot of time to extract any useful information.
Chromium as a whole or just Chrome specifically?
I would say it’s likely that it affects Chromium as a whole, what affects chrome usually also affects chromium as well, and while some modified versions might be unaffected it’s likely that most are.
The article doesn’t mention Edge one way or the other. The demonstration attack was browser based, but presumably other locally installed malware would be able to use the same side-channel attack as well.
