I was told the translation of the text is “In the near future”

Some things never change. Like chuds complaining.

Ancient* Rome too, “When you lift their dress, you find none other than a populare!” “We need to go back to family values!” -Conservatives of yore, the Optimates (“Optimal people”, the elites, rich assholes with private security, who’s usage led to the chaos that ended Rome).

“Plebs dance too lewdly!” “Women are too sexually independent!” “Gay marriage is making our men weak and effeminate!” are also classics from Roman conservatives

EDIT: Oh, and “Medicine is newfangled Greek hogwash, just eat cabbage”

ikr? You’d think the artist would’ve taken a step back and said, “Wow, maybe I should make this more ill-fitting if I’m trying to complain”, but instead they’re both drawn pulling off the clothing switch magnificently.

I think he’d be better served cleaning up that facial hair, but the outfit really flatters him.

      She looks fantastic.

Fun fact, going by the K-D mark, this was from the Constitutional Democratic Party, who were the liberals. If this was actually from 1917, I’d assume it was rallying against one of the socialist parties (or socialist parties in general). Between the October revolution of 1917 and Stalin seizing power, there was a massive expansion of LGBTQ+ rights, to the point that we’re still fighting for many of those rights today.

Well, the “This is the future liberals want” meme is talking about social liberalism more generally, but yes, the Sovs expanded LGBT rights despite some internal dissent until Stalin took over. The SovUnion was superior to the Weimar Republic (for all of its faults, still the focal point of LGBT activism in Europe) in terms of LGBT rights at the time.
