Last weekend open is this weekend (Sept 29-30) before it closes for renovations following the sale by the Harten family.

I’ve meant to go here a number of times, but I’ve heard very mixed reviews of the place, usually due to management.
I’ll have to remember to give this a go when it reopens.
I always find it curious how few German things there are in a city that lives to boast about the German heritage.
Yeah we could certainly use some more German places. Even just normal brats/metts and beer. Doesn’t have to be fancy.
And I could see mixed reviews- it hasn’t always been run extremely efficiently but it is a landmark. Nothing like sitting in the biergarten drinking a liter of beer. The beer hall out back was fun too.
