I think I was wrong in that white vs. black clothing was for/against Allison. I think it might just be an un/yis marker, so she’s always flanked by black and white aligned people?

Anyway, I suppose this is as good a way as any to get the more fragile members of the party out of the way, if Nyave and Zaid stay behind to hold down the fort. Although if Maya wants to teach people how to kill immortals, maybe if Nyave and Zaid are scared they can talk to her.

What I want to know is…why does Allison think it’ll only take 10 days to find Gog-Agog and do whatever?

Edit: Also, I imagine the last two panels with Allison and the flower are symbolic, I just am not sure in what way as I don’t know the references. The flower is not a cherry blossom or a lotus or a rose, the usual types of symbolic flowers. I suspect the composition of the frames might actually be an anime/manga reference that I’m not well-versed enough to get.

Edit 2: I don’t think I mentioned it previously, but I like how Princess is (physically, at least) trans-masc to some extent in this form, mirroring White Chain’s progression away from one gender to another. Allison drunkenly stuck Vladok in a female body with a female gender, and Princess has gradually been going, “Nah, you were drunk, I’m something else!” as they strip names away. This gold devil form has lost the boobies. Whether Princess is non-binary and will stop there, or will end up male later on, no idea. Honestly, I think Princess/Vladok’s primary gender is Awesome Hair. That’s been consistent through every iteration, from Vladok to now.
