Drivers are staging a ‘go-slow’ protest on some of Wales’ busiest roads in opposition to the new 20mph default speed limit.

Some of the roads included are the A55 between Bangor and Wrexham and the M4 from Newport to Swansea.

It is thought the drivers are sticking to 30mph, with some beeping, showing support to the protest.

    Seems only a handful of people showed up. It’s almost like 20 mph limits in built up areas aren’t really that big a deal. Of course, presumably Braverman will be locking up those few protestors like when XR cause delays in motorways…

      My thoughts exactly, the anti-protesting laws pushed through by the Conservatives directly allow for this behaviour to be punished.

    I mean, if you’re going to limit speeds to 20mph in those areas, why not just simply get rid of the capabilities for cars to drive there at all? I understand slow speeds in highly residential areas but…come on.

      Not sure what you mean with this. Wouldn’t make any sense to stop cars from driving on the A55 or M4, absolutely wild take.
