Having a green grocer in town is saving my life.

Those fools sold me twelve perfect little avocados for £2. Froze most of them as guac.

They even called me when my son lost his Pikachu wallet there.

    I fucking love green grocers.

This is probably a bit circle jerky, but I remember when my mom would buy groceries for an entire month and was devastated that it cost $100 (for a family of 4). We lived in a small town in the middle of nowhere but it’s still crazy to imagine getting that much out of that little these days

My local groceries go on “sale” while still being more expensive and less quantity than a few years back

Inflation was caused by one major grocer just randomly deciding to increase food prices because they knew they could get away with it.

When that’s the take even economists are walking away with, you know it’s egregious. And OFC our governments did jack fucking shit.

Go and check what the money printers are doing and then decide if you think one major grocer is causing inflation. Maybe they impacted it but it wasn’t caused by them.

Inflation is a feature, not a bug.

Money printing = inflation is an outdated economic model. It’s all about value created vs purchasing power.

You can brr the printers all night but none of that’s going to make a difference if it’s all sitting harmlessly in a swiss bank account.

I personally think wealthy billionaires love inflation because more people go into debt and they get more money
