There are so many online and it’s kind of tough to trust the Amazon reviews when so many of these products tend to give incentives for 5 star reviews.

i started airbrushing at the beginning of the year and here were the things i picked up:

    CO-Z Adjustable Lighted Airbrush… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S3S79W4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

    Gocheer Upgraded 30PSI Airbrush… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092D2YB8R?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

the spray booth is awesome. In particular, i like how the vent tube is coming out the top where other models come straight from the back. i was able to set this up in my home office on a small table and not have to dedicate a lot of space for the exhaust. it been very reliable and i use it often for many other projects. the built-in lights are super bright!

i didnt go hard with the airbrush per a friends suggestion. since i was dipping a toe into a new hobby he had suggested a cheaper electric airbrush. after looking around i could see how one could drop some serious cash on the stuff…… Anyway, this electric brush is great and i use it frequently. easy to clean and easy to use.

The only problem I have now is that there isn’t enough free time to paint all my kits! having the brush makes me feel like i need to always paint them.

excluding lacquers, i spent under 200 to start painting. im very happy that i got into it and i certainly see myself investing other tools in the future, but if i was told this is what i could only use forever, id be happy with that.

Since most of the spray booths on Amazon look the same, i’m guessing they’re all coming from the same factory. So i don’t think you can necessarily go wrong with any.

    hope this helps (:

oh here was my first paint. on the right is the entry grade rx78 painted compared to a HG rx78. i got sloppy with the panel lining and my waterslides didn’t go on all that well, but i got the paint down exactly how i wanted it and i really liked the gritty primer i chose.

That looks great! Especially for a first paint. Thanks for all the info, the vent coming out of the top of that booth is great and might mean I can set it up on my desk rather than my table. I’ll take some measurements.

I hear you on the cheaper electric airbrush, but I think I’m still going to go for the Badger Patriot and a small compressor. I’ve got some car models and stuff as well and I know I’m going to stick with it, so I think I’m just gonna go for the moderately more expensive option right off the bat rather than upgrading to it down the line.

I’ll follow up for sure, but not for a bit since I’m asking for these for Christmas. For now I’ll just keep building and panel lining kits, maybe with a little weathering by hand.
