From an authorised sequel to George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four to a collection of newly discovered short stories from the late Terry Pratchett, there is a mountain of brilliant science fiction to get through this month

"Julia by Sandra Newman. This sequel to Nineteen Eighty-Four, authorised by the Orwell estate, is probably the book I am most excited about this month. "

    That makes two of us!

      Sandra Newman

I haven’t read her stuff, though as a Sci-Fi geek who loves history and majored in English, taking almost every pre-Victorian Brit Lit course that was available (interesting as multi-disciplinary texts, AND never full when I needed to register!) I’m adding The Heavens to my list now. Without reading a single word, I feel very confident she’s a step or thirty up from Kevin J. Anderson.

That’s exciting! 1984 is one of my favourite books, I couldn’t pay much attention to anything else after reading about “Julia” 😝 Although the stories by Pratchett sound interesting too.
