Okay how the hell do messenger pigeons even work? Or like where to go and how to get to the certain spot?

They know one thing: where home is. They’re really good at navigating from anywhere back to home. So they’d take the pigeons with them and, when they wanted to send a message back to home base, they’d put it on the pigeon’s leg and let it go.
