And maybe more importantly, when are they gonna add Bluetooth audio support?
No idea about the dock. They mentioned BT in the podcast and it’s basically too slow for gaming due to Bluetooth itself, so it’s on the back burner.
Too slow audio? I can’t imagine most of the playdate games I play it would really matter if it was a millisecond off.
I don’t think you realize how slow Bluetooth is, and how little delay it takes to really throw one off. You’re probably right that a millisecond would be manageable. But Bluetooth audio can easily be a half second off as well as not being consistently off by the same amount of time.
Yeah half a second would obviously be a problem. Annoying even on slow paced games.

Such a cool accessory, but I guess the priority is on producing enough Playdate units themselves rather than on accessories.
