WHAT YEAR IS IT???
Jokes aside, SEED was the first Gundam series I ever watched, and it got me into the UC timeline shows and other space dramas like Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Whatever deserves criticism it may get, I’ll always be grateful to SEED for getting me into sci-fi and mecha animes.
I just finished the original gundam series. Is SEED based in UC and when is it based if you don’t mind me asking a dumb question
SEED is its own continuity, but from what I understand (I haven’t seen it myself) it draws heavily from the storylines of the first few UC shows.
SEED is it’s own timeline, but it was intended as an introduction to new comers to the Gundam franchise so the themes and character archetypes in it are really similar. It can get a bit…same-y if you’re just coming off of the UC shows.
