EDIT in the end, I settled on an Audient iD24, managed to get one from Juno for around £250
As per title… and to clarify, I don’t just mean a headphone port, I mean an internal bus separate from the main outs, that can be seleCubase. This info doesn’t seem to be present on the manufacturer’s blurb; I’ve just been stung buying a Presonus 24c which it turns out only has ‘Main Out L / R’.
Presonus support solution is to use their DAW, I am already fluent in Cubase / Ableton and have no desire to learn a third (StudioOne)! My main interface at home is a UAD Apollo which has main outs, virtual busses, and a headphone bus. I wanted to get a different interface for live stuff & travelling.
Obviously UAD is a higher tier than the £150 24c so perhaps I was expecting too much from it. I need an interface with headphone bus as I use that to run Slate VSX (headphone software).

Going to have to edit the post because I found a solution in the end… went for an Audient iD24
I am running a Focusrite 18i20 gen 1. In that case headphone 1 is 7/8 out and headphone 2 is 9/10 out. This means I don’t only have a custom mix for my headphones, I even have a different mix for the headphones that go to my drumkit.
I appreciate the informative response. That’s a little outside my budget (~£420 here) and looks like more of a rackmount than something I can take on the road / gigs. I nearly went with their 2i2, but could’ve sworn they were much cheaper back in the day… £200+ now! I think what I’m going to have to do moving forward is dig really deep with questions to manufacturers; good to know that Focusrite have this feature in some of their interfaces, it’ll be my first port of call when putting questions to customer service to discover which products have this feature.
After I let Presonus support know that learning their DAW wasn’t quite what I’m after, they informed me the 24c has a ‘loopback’ function so I’m going to have a play around with that before I return it, who knows I might be able to sort it.
The Audient id14 software allows you to decide what you send to the headphones and the physical outputs. The software is pretty flexible. Not as much as my trusty old Saffire Pro 40’s MixControl (which now serves as additional preamp into the ID14 via ADAT), but it’s good.
Thanks very much for the suggestion, I’ve just been on with support @ Audient and they recommended the id14 / 24. Said it’s possible with the 14, but might be better off with the 24 as it has more flexible routing options for the 'phones. I’ve had a few suggestions for the Saffire so will give them a shout too and see how their setup works.
I didn’t mention my ID14 is mark 2 Just in case the hardware is relevant to the software.
