Love how they always use a bunch of excuses to support Russia while ignoring the fact that Russia is doing and has done all the terrible things they complain about. But of course they refuse to admit their crimes even happened, regardless of evidence.
I’ve been on the internet for a long time. Seen plenty of gore, plenty of horrific stuff. But nothing that will stick with me the way some of the Ukrainian War footage will. God help them over there. I can’t even imagine what it’s like living under the shadow of those atrocities, much less experiencing them.
For that reason, I have no sympathy for tankies who play ‘both sides’ or ‘critical support’ games. It’s genocide apologism, nothing less.

I stay away from all of it, now. I tell people the same thing whenever they ask if they should check it out - if you ever feel like the Ukraine situation doesn’t matter or that supporting Ukraine is unjust, check it. In all other cases, spare yourself the trauma-by-proxy.
It’s notable how the theme is always “Russia and China are great but the US very, very bad!!”. Not based on any defensible logic or facts though.

It appears that the poster is a native Hawaiian, some of which whom are anti-colonial us/pro Hawaiian independence movement. In that case, yes they do hate America. I had the pleasure of taking a class with a pro independence Hawaiian woman who was 19 years old many years ago. This was in the mainland United States and not Hawaii. She repeatedly used racist terminology to disparage and attack the white student body of the very not Hawaiian campus.
It was kind of weird, tbh. But she was a very angry person in general and not pleasant to talk to you. Not that she would actually interact or talk to white people, mind you.

I mean, the guy is unhinged, but US legal interpretations of freedom of speech tend to be very broad. “If I was next to the president right now I’d shoot him” was quite famously ruled as within the boundaries of freedom of speech back in the 60s, so I don’t think “I HATE AMERICA SO MUCH THAT I SUPPORT GENOCIDE ABROAD” will get much traction.
