Just making a quick post to see if this page is active? Been keeping an eye on Lemmy for a long time but I know it will grow after the Reddit API changes. So just putting this out there in case anyone else is here?

I’m not 100% sure how all this fediverse stuff works as of yet. From what I can tell this community was setup on lemmygrad which is a “collection of Marxist communities”. Should we have the main Irish community on lemmy setup on a more general server or does it even matter?

With Lemmy, there’s not really a “main” community for anything. A community here on Lemmygrad’ll be communist, but you could create an Irish community on your own instance, or on lemmy.ml as well.

I guess users’ll gravitate to whichever they prefer, if there are duplicates. The flavor of each instance makes it hard to have real duplicates, even if they’re about the same thing.

I just switched from RIF on my mobile phone today, before all the subreddits go dark. I may not switch back …

There’s about 6 Irish lemmy users and 4 different Ireland lemmys. We really need to coordinate more :P

Chomh maith agus is féidir nuair atá tú ag obair. Ach i ndáiríre níl sé ró-dheacair, cheap mé ar slí nua chun mó fhadhb bogearra a réiteach, beidh mé sásta roimh mo thuras go Bleá Cliath amárach.
