Shots like this remind me about how much I miss snow-capped mountains.
Unfortunately, the glaciers are melting away from Glacier NP. Over the last 150 years, the number of large glaciers has declined from 80 to 32. The number of smaller glaciers went from 144 to 49.
Yep. It is sad to think that Glacier National Park is loosing its namesake features. I suppose the glacial terrain features will still be around but it isn’t the same thing.
