While a new partnership with Crystal Dynamics appears to finally be bearing fruit, multiple sources who have worked on The Initiative's Perfect Dark reboot recently say that the game is still “in the earliest stages” of development, estimating that it is still roughly two to three years away from being ready for release.

    It’s ridiculous that they announced this game so early in development. We’ll see if people are still interested in it when it comes out. They’ll probably just spin up the hype wheel months before it, maybe do some rage bait type stuff to get people really going.

      They announced it because they didn’t have anything to show. Why do you think they’re trying so hard to buy Activision? They probably have rebooted it multiple times by now. Sad thing is they could remake the first game and make a shit ton of money, not like they need to rewrite the narrative or anything.
