I’ve been trying to create communities and posts in my natural language which is not English, but I’m afraid of doing it because the majority of this instance is English (although it has ‘world’ in the name).

Nop, !nederlands is Dutch.
Other Languages Should be fine.
Lemmy is multilingual so there shouldn’t be any issue :) you can also browse the list of instances federated with Lemmy to see if there are any in your native language. Tho of course you’re still more than welcome here.
Maybe depend on your timezone. I am UK and in the morning my feed is dominated by Germans while they are awake and leading the narrative
