The RCMP announced Tuesday it has launched a criminal investigation into Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s plan to open up Greenbelt land for development.
This is excellent news. This was so transparently corrupt. I’d love to see Ford get in serious legal trouble to set a precedent.

Whatever the results, findings or lack thereof, I hope the investigation culminates before the next election. Doug and the PC party’s scheme should be made plain and clear for everyone to see.
I don’t trust the RCMP to not fuck this up. Remember the ArriveCan investigation? Inquiry came and said “open the books” and they just straight up said “no”.
Given how long its taken them to even look into this I’m not exactly optimistic.
