    Helck out there just casually punching calamities to death his first time fighting. The time he spent as a mercenary was cute, but a lot of the details on Cless fighting the demon lord seemed sus. I don’t trust any of the others that made it back unharmed.

      Agreed. They certainly glided past that part of the story pretty quickly. Makes me wonder what Helck will find when he goes to where the demon king is.

    A whole second backstory episode and it looks like we are getting a third episode next week fully devoted to Helck’s backstory. It feels like a lot all at once. The backstory is appreciated as there has been very little of it up until now, but now it is the only thing we are getting at the expense of forward progress in the current time. I wonder what this is like in the source material. Is there just a whole volume of manga devoted to Helck’s backstory?

      Yeah, the second half of volume 4 and all of volume 5 seem to be backstory.

      Yeah, I enjoy it overall but it’s too slow now. Time to end the backstory and go back to the main one.
