I was once recommended a show by my friend, saying that it’s “a beautiful story about the complicated and delicate dynamic between a father and his daughter.”
He was talking about “Boku no Pico”, and please do not look it up. 🫠

I was hoping this was going to end with a call to help so I could then recommend Bunny Drop. Because the internet has poisoned my brain, so why not share the damage?
Yeah, I immediately thought of that too, but that’s a relationship of an aunt and her nephew
@cdipierr please stop. I can’t watch everything 😭
I really liked that show and thought I would check out the manga once I saw it kept going past the show. However, I was fortunate enough to do a quick search for reviews and then proceeded to quickly run away. The anime on its own is pretty wholesome.
4chan /a/ has been recommending Boku no Pico for a long, looooong time.
Ya, I’ve personally been hearing about it since at least 2011, but I’d be unsurprised if the “meme” started back in 2006 when its first ep released.
Top tier trolling. Well done.
@thisisartman @anime That is such a weird meme, recommending that show to try and trick people into watching it. Which that trend would stop being a thing with anime fans.
@literalgrill @anime when done right, such jokes are funny. Yosuga no Sora as an “artistic expression of how one embraces nostalgia when they return to their home town” was a funny suggestion.
BnP was not a funny joke. 😭
