Decorated pots can store items! I’m always excited for more storage options, although I wish it was less gimicky. Having to break the pots like a piggy bank really limits their utility.

a gui would be nice, but you could technically use hoppers to get the items out. i don’t ever really play snapshots, but i wonder what happens if you break it with silk touch with items inside.

update: it seems pistons can break the pots without shattering them, and the items just drop out. kinda what i expected, but they only hold one stack of items anyway so there was a chance.

Yeah, I was mostly hoping for another aesthetic storage option in my house/base. Even if they didn’t hold as much as a chest, a new visual option would have been cool.

I suspect there may be some technical applications for this implementation, but all I can think of is a funny place to hide cookies 😅

They may not be useful in survival, but I could see them being used for distributing loot in mini-games and adventure maps :D

Considering that they can only hold a stack of a single item they could maybe be used for sorting?

Ooo, like [hopper -> pot -> hopper -> chest] for farms dropping multiple items? I’ve never done anything beyond basic crop/mob farming, so I’m just guessing.

So it turns out they can’t pull from hoppers, the hoppers have to be facing into the pot so it doesn’t really work. The hopper above the pot just fills up with items. If the pot could pull items from sidways facing hoppers it would work. But so far hoppers are the only thing that can pull from other storage containers.
