Hey folks. I was wanting to get a new set of keycaps for my work computer’s keyboard, but I’m having a little trouble finding a set that seems like a good fit. I’m fishing for suggestions here.

I’m looking for a set with XDA profile and a darker color scheme (the base is black). Most XDA profile caps I’ve seen on AliExpress seem to be on the lighter side, and most darker caps aren’t XDA profile.

And ideas?

I don’t have an offering for the XDA profile that you’re looking for, but a potential alternative. Consider the KAM profile as well.

I used the XDA canvas set on a number of boards for about 5 years and recently switched to the KAM Superuser set on my Dactyl Manuform. The dishes on the top of the keys are very slightly smaller but the height and general profile are very, very similar.

Thekeeblog has a nifty comparison chart that puts XDA and KAM side by side.

Monacokeys from Munich sells XDA White on Black. Only in German though.

But you could hit 'em up on discord and ask if they are able to source you an US layout or point you to a shop that has those in stock.

Are you in the US? I see a few XDA sets in darker schemes like this one: amazon link for dark theme set $25

Double check and make sure it has the coverage for your specific keyboard, I don’t recall which brand(s) but something like Razor or the like have non-standard spacebar size 5.5u , etc.

Am with kilted_ on this one, possibly look at one of the other uniform profile like KAM as he mentioned, or DSA. XDA is not very comfortable to type on extensively, and tends to wobble on lighter switches.
