Violent Femmes have announced a new 40th anniversary reissue of their 1983 self-titled debut featuring more than a dozen demos, B-sides, and live performances. They’ve also shared the a version of “Gone Daddy Gone / I Just Want to Make Love to You” that was recorded in January 1983 at Folk City in New York. Previously unavailable in digital formats, the recording includes a verse from Willie Dixon’s 1954 song “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” originally recorded by Muddy Waters.
