First of all, wefwef is amazing. Really love where this app is going, being web-based and thus multiplatform. It’s great! I do have some questions. One has been answered in a different thread which was how login credentials were stored, so that was answered already.

So this might sound like a stupid question, but how do I start a thread in a community? I can easily find how to reply and all but I can’t find how to start a new discussion 😅

The rest is pretty straightforward, but I do have some feature requests.

  • Allow linking to a user by starting with an @ and typing the user name, like you can on the web
  • Allow linking to a community by starting with an ! and typing the community name, like you can on the web
  • Access to the mod tools
  • Access to the admin tools

I hope it’s ok to post this here. Thank you!

    Some more:

    • Option to edit your posts
    • Option to block communities :)

    My requests:

    • Sort posts by top (day/week/month etc)
    • Change the “sort by” icon to something more common/intuitive
  • @[email protected]

I’m just gonna use this thread to add another request:

It would be nice if we could hide (read) posts / mark read posts

For now, the pace on Lemmy is quite slower than on Reddit (which I like) but it also means that you often encounter posts several times a day.

Btw: Love the idea of the app, Fediverse and web based app goes together nicely.

So I just found out that you actually can not create a new post yet.

Guys, as a tip before you ask for features here check on wepwep’s GitHub page. Also maybe better to do feature requests there :)

So how can I start a new thread in a community? I don’t see any button to create a post

I’d like more options for viewing posts, maybe in a smaller format? Some pictures that people post are quite large to scroll past and a more compact core option would help.

I love the gestures! It was really intuitive to learn and makes for a cleaner brownie experience.
