      I agree it’s sad, but…Reality has long ago eclipsed satire, and conservative trolls pop up everywhere with even less coherent arguments. It’s also sad to admit I absolutely would have been fooled.

      I don’t think this is exactly it. I think it’s more about hitting on values they share vs pushing your own. I.E. “It felt like the republican party cared about our values years ago, but now it feels like they care more about making a point than helping people. While nowadays liberal policies have benefitted me directly, its made me rethink some of those older policies, too.” Followed by examples. This has worked for some of my family. A slow, soft, roll in.

      It’s rehabilitation, not education.
