FFXVI just released June 22, 2023 with upcoming DLC soon
FFXIV (the MMO) gets a new expansion release Summer 2024.
They released Theatrhythm Final Bar Line earlier this year as well which was heavily FF focused with other square titles thrown in.
I just feel like I’ve seen so many remakes and releases of ff7 since it’s ps1 release, also a bunch of animated stuff related to ff7. I was never a fan, I actually loved 8 so I’m glad we’re getting a remake of that

Crisis Core had to be remade because the main character plays a much more obvious role in the 7 remake and the original was stuck on the PS Vita.
Square has also been releasing a ton of games that aren’t in the FF franchise.

Apart for FF7 remake trilogy, there’s only Crisis core remake
Yea i feel you, having never played Final Fantasy i kept hearing ff7 thrown here and there. They are really milking this iteration for all it’s worth.
Compilation of FFVII WIKI here i was thinking they had only the main ff7 plus some side story (as we often see on handhelds).
So we got the FF7 remake pt1 (which i played and was very fun), then the backstory(?): “Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion”, and now incoming is part 2 and 3.
