I’m not so sure that will apply as much pressure as I’d like. For example: widespread, high refresh displays haven’t made a huge impact on the base model iPhone. It’s already relative insanity given the price of that phone.

iPhone users don’t seem to care so why would Apple?

If more than 0.1% of iPhone customers care I would be surprised!
