Hey guys, im now lvl 56 in world tier 3, and I’m wondering if at a certain point you guys start looting only the sacred items loot?
I always pick up everything and salvage or sell, just so I don’t have to worry about not having enough money or mats to do upgrades later.
I get the sentiment though. In World Tier 3 at lvl 55, your loot drops start getting capped pretty heavily in terms of stats. I was pretty much getting garbage loot, even if they were sacred, and I got to a point where I was just blindly salvaging all rares and most legendaries unless they had aspects that were right for my build.
Alright makes sense, seems everything I loot is worst then my current equipment!
I’m at the same level and experiencing the same thing. I’m guessing since we just hit endgame it’s somewhat expected for the loot to slow down 🤷 Just gotta keep on grinding to higher levels and nightmare dungeon tiers and the upgrades will show here and there, just not as commonly as when leveling to 50.

Not true, there are some class neutral aspects from the dungeons. Most of them seem to be class specific but not all.

Definitely. Soon enough you will be picking up only ancestral or better and only flawless gems or better.
Pretty much. Sometimes I still pick up everything to sell when I’m lower on gold but a lot of the time when I’m doing pressing stuff where I don’t want to go back and forth to town a ton I’m just picking up ancestrals for categories that I need. Gems too of course
I pick up everything if I am not full and going to sell soon. If I am doing something like helltide I usually skip anything that isn’t ancestral since I don’t want to waste the time going back to town.
It’s really up to you. The non-sacred rares are pretty much useless except to salvage or sell, so if you’re after money or materials then it’s still worth picking them up. But if you’re specifically looking for gear upgrades then there’s not much point taking non-sacred items.
I’m at the point in Torment that I no longer bother picking up non-ancestral item drops. Same with gems - I have so many that there’s no point picking up yet another bunch of flawless gems.
With how crazy expensive things like extraction and applying aspects and rolling on enchants are, I pick up everything. You gonna need the gold!
Maybe they will add loot filters at some point.
Maybe I’m missing something but would I ever want to use a blue sacred item? Can it be upgraded to yellow?
