I bust out a drill with a 7 mm nut setter.

Works like a charm. I give the trigger the lightest squeeze and I can grind my coffee in ½ the time with ⅒ the effort.

    I did that for a while but eventually I bent the rod, slightly, and the consistency went to shit. Make sure you keep that drill level!

      I’ll probably end up splurging on an electric model early next year. I just got this little hand-powered burr grinder on the cheap earlier this year while I was making sure that fresh-grinding my morning coffee was something I wanted to implement into my routine long-term. That said, this little guy is really convenient to take into the office so yeah, I’m doing my best to be extra careful with it.

      Still, some mornings are just really tough. So I do what I must to get my fix.

      Same until the wife told me to take the drill out of the kitchen 😔

        I have a special 12" wide cabinet/countertop next to the fridge, which my wife has designated as my coffee area. As long as I don’t intrude on the rest of the kitchen with it, she’s cool with it lol
