The touch top (by WiFi icon, battery, etc) automatically scrolls to the top is the most awful iOS feature. It should have been behind a setting in iOS, but here we are. Is it possible to move it behind a setting in the app?

Thank you!

I’m using a different app, but I wholeheartedly agree. They all seem to have this feature and I have no idea why. There are multiple ways to get back to the top that are nearly as easy and this happens by mistake way too often. Not sure who first decided this should be the standard, but I absolutely hate it

In Avelon how do you go about this?

They have a feature, albeit premium, called smart button or something like that. You can configure it to go to top by long press and whatnot.

Edit: this goes without saying, but you could always just scroll to top (my preferred way)

Personally, tap to scroll to top is a must have feature for me in an iOS (or Android) client. Don’t see an issue with it being an option to disable, but wouldn’t want to see the feature go entirely and I think it should be on by default for consistency with the OS.

I usually disable the quick jump buttons as I don’t really like the ever presence overlay, and it’s not something that really feels like iOS to me. I actually find those buttons more jntrusive. Given that the jump to tops what I use.

With the size of phones I don’t find myself ever accidentally clicking the region and don’t recall ever accidentally triggering a scroll when I intended to bring up notification or control center.

So yeah, I think having an option isn’t a bad idea, but would want the feature to stay.

I’m not sure how this feature works internally, might be difficult to disable since it’s a basic iOS feature. I’d like to implement a way to tap the top again to scroll back to where you were though, and if I end up finding a way to disable it at the same time I’ll throw in an option in settings too
