This was like Skyrim for the Tandy 1000. lol
The IIgs version has the best music. Actual sampled instruments.
Yes, I distinctly remember playing it on the IIgs, what a nostalgia trip.
I was aways more of a hero Quest fan. I hated the unfinishable state kings Quest could leave you in
I’m pretty sure I took all the schmuck bait the game threw out.
You’re not the only one.
I never heard of Hero’s Quest. I’ll have to check that out.
It got renamed due to trademark stuff just after the first one was released. It’s called Quest for Glory now.
Oh right right. I had forgotten about that. Daym I’m old :D
So, I know that this doesn’t quite have the same nostalgia feel of the original, but there is a group of fans who have been creating free remasters of the games in the King’s Quest and Quest for Glory series.
Ooh, I’m going to check this out. Thanks for sharing.
KQ5 was my favorite of the series. Played that over and over on my LCII. We had a MidiMan midi adapter and played out the sound through a Kawai keyboard. It was awesome.
Oh yes. We got a pirated copy from my dad’s work friend.
Loved it. It was this and the Space Quest in heavy rotation on my Tandy 1000 HX

I do not understand that.
You can’t do that here.
