Just got a dongle that replaces that stupid dock, and the picture is quality is better and it doesn’t cut out on you on you’re playing! Why did Nintendo cheap out on the dock?

I’ve never had anything cut out on me while playing and I don’t understand how the picture quality could vary. It’s not analog, it’s digital.

I know, but it has improved dramatically, with brighter and crisper screen actually looks high definition. Maybe the dock I got is faulty

Yeah I’m guessing bad unit. I have 3 official docks that I’ve used on 5 TVs and never had any issues.

My switch never cuts out when playing. Perhaps you have faulty hardware?

After talking to people that’s my thinking

Just so you don’t have to buy or warranty a dock - try a different HDMI cable

I’ve tried three. All different speeds

I’ve never had issues with the dock, I bought an off-brand one so I could play it in my room on my pc. But the stock dock is still in the living room whenever I want to play on the TV.

Hmm I have the original dock from launch and the Splatoon OLED variant, zero issues.

As already recommended , would try replacing a cable to rule that out.

Well I already bought and had delivered the dongle, and ok the cables I’ve tried didn’t dnt fix the issue, so I’ll just stay with this

Never heard anything like that, your stock dock might be damaged? If it’s just one screen it might be the way the screen is detecting it.
