I’ve been meditating for a while now, and I can definitely say my negative bias seems to have decreased substantially. I also tend not to seek out materials that engage my fear/anger, so maybe that has something to do with it as well.

For sure. I think meditation goes hand in hand with mindfulness, and being aware of your own boundaries, which is largely the cause of fear/anger.
I can add an anecdotal attestation. But apparently I’m supposed to meditate on fantasy baseball scores… (3 in a row that time!)
