Hey - refugee from /r/csharp here, looking to find a Lemmy equivalent. But this place looks dead? Is there a C# community on Lemmy anywhere?

Users are slowly migrating over. I find the community with most activity tends to get more traction in the long run. Subscribe and start posting content here, probably won’t be too long until others join too.

      Will do.

Most of my Reddit posts are either asking questions (doesn’t help if no one is here to answer!) or answering questions (not much to do if no one asks anything).

But I have a couple of old blog posts that I’ll dig out and post here, see if we can build some traction.

“dead” will have a different definition on lemmy as compared to reddit, because the user base is smaller here. It’ll grow with time, but we who are already here can start posting and commenting to give the process a quicker start.

Definitely! Let’s do it! The fact that a couple of people replied to me so quickly shows there are people here, we just need to start posting!

Not only is the user base smaller, but it is also fragmented. The individual user will need to put more effort into consolidating similar communities from different instances into their personal feed. I think there needs to be a client-side feature where a user can combine multiple communities into a single feed.

Thanks - I’ll take a look over there too!
