Anyone figure out how to use the app for this yet? I downloaded test flight and Mlemy but asking for code and I can’t get through on Mlemy, I have been using the link from the email verification to get here and just coming through that way on my phone… it works but hoping to figure out the app piece…
I have an android phone and just installed Jerboa for Lemmy from the app store and it works great. Not sure about iOS.
Edit: oh duh that’s what you’re asking about. Sorry. 🤦♀️
Jerboa was easy at first but hasn’t been able to connect the last 40 or 50 times I tried. This web version is fine for now, this is the only group I care about! ❤️
I’m not sure I can remember the exact steps I took, but I went to the link on the Reddit menopause page that sent me to the github page. I downloaded test flight. I’m pretty sure I then went back to the github page and clicked on mlemy icon and it went thru a sequence that sent me the invite and mlemy popped up with a sign in screen. I think? Sorry I can’t remember exactly.
I don’t want to go through all that to install the app, but the web version of it looks good and works well, so that’s my plan for now.
When you are on the Github, are you going to the ReadMe file to activate that way? I sort of wish I had screenrecorded as I did it, because I didn’t have any issues- but, I gather that’s the part that is catching a few people off.
I’m just using Safari on my phone. It’s super slow for me, and I’ve only been able to comment, not post. I’m hopeful that things will shake out as they adjust to the influx of users, and a nice, user friendly app would be a bonus.
I’m an Android user myself, but I think you just need to open this link with your phone after installing Apple TestFlight. Hopefully the beta reaches a stable enough point soon so that this extra step will be eliminated. Glad you made it over to us in the meantime!
I’ve downloaded three apps for this and still can’t figure it out, lol! I downloaded GitHub, Mlem & Test Flight but still only able to get here using the link they sent to verify my email; I’m okay with getting here this way but I suspect will deter a lot of people.
