I’ve been a volunteer for a women’s literacy prison programs, and an early-days Amy Schumer fan…I wouldn’t allow her thirsty nonsense in prisons full of women with like a dozen male guards and no further oversight. It’s just pure trash. That being said, I feel like all prisons would probably be happier and safer if they let all inmates (male or female or other) have porn.

The inmates who’d benefit from Art of War are probably smart enough to have already read it, or get it via improper channels anyway. Women’s prisons don’t really deal with gang violence the way men’s prisons do anyway. Nobody’s “going to war” in a women’s prison.

People forget that when all the guards are greedy, racist, sexist morons it doesn’t take much to cause massive corruption and sexual violence problems regardless of what the female inmates read.

You’d think that our punitive prison system would force inmates to read Amy Schumer’s memoir.

I think that counts as “cruel and unusual”.

That hasn’t stopped our prison system before.
