This is the first step taken by Luxembourg towards full legalisation in the coming year/s

    Kind of a strange bill, allowing home cultivation but imposing a fine for possession. I assume it means possession outside of the house. I don’t know enough about EU and Luxembourgish politics to say if it’s a good bill or a bad bill, but it certainly seems like a step in some direction.

      I mean it’s a start and the fine is for possession outside the home, but it will also be removed when full legalisation is in place.

      It’s even specified in article, that in home you’re safe:

      Bill 8033 further stipulates penalties in relation to illegal cannabis possession. Anyone who consumes recreational cannabis or cannabis-derived products outside their home risks a fine of between €25 and €500. The same applies to anyone who possesses, transports, or acquires up to three grams of recreational cannabis or by-products for personal use.

      I agree, but we have parliamentary elections upcoming, so they had to get something out quick (this one was already tough to get through).
