Gloom as an attachment. If you use it as base, you’ll still get the damage.

That’s clever! I have like 30 hearts, though, and it’s occasionally fun to just use one in the overworld and not care. Your heart containers heal pretty fast.

It scales damage based on how many hearts you have, and when you use it, it takes those away like touching gloom.

Gloom weapons are really great once you start getting up there in hearts.

So, its not meant for a user with 5 hearts. I really gotta bother with shrines

Will it get stronger with more hearts?

The bow will, the melee weapons won’t

Exactly what others have said regarding dropping hearts.

They’re really good to use in the overworld actually, since your hearts will just regen right away (although they’ll be empty/need healing.)

The bow weirdly enough is the opposite, it just does more damage the more heart slots you have, with no other downsides

They drain your health and cause gloom damage as you use them - not worth it for the sword or the club in my experience. But the bow is good, though its strength is based on how many hearts you have, so its efficacy drops as you take hits.
