Writer believes a one-state solution is a great idea.

He calls to neo-liberal globalism that a state is defined by it’s economic productivity.

Then he says South Africa is making a one-state solution work.

And then he re-writes history for the sake of making a point.

Finally, he says the line:

Just shoving off a Palestinian state consisting of the smoking Gaza crater and shreds of the West Bank will not solve the suffering that is at the root of Hamas’s murderous attacks.

He’s saying Palestine doesn’t deserve their own state because of the lack of economic productivity that has come from being bombed relentlessly. And that being given a state won’t end the suffering of Palestinians.
