It has a really nice UI.
Link to the github: https://github.com/aeharding/wefwef
It is listed under web apps in this thread: https://lemmy.world/post/465785
This is honestly amazing and I cannot believe this hasn’t blown up yet. It is so close to the Apollo experience that I now have zero reason to stay on Reddit.
As a total noob, I wasn’t able to install it from github. (Which might be the reason for the app not blowing up.) Any advice for dummies?
I don’t think you install anything, it’s a website. Try using this link: https://wefwef.app/posts/lemmy.world/all
Thanks a lot!

Thanks!
Thank you! I just tried it and my Lemmy experience is so much better.
Yep its really impressive for such an early project.
Having said that I can’t work out how to edit comments/posts I have made.
It would also be nice to have a preview of your comment too.
Hopefully they add that at some point.
It’s incredibly fast as well. Beautiful UI
Holy shit. I’m always shocked when PWAs are this good.

This is incredible. It’s so much better than Jerboa.
Thank you for posting this.
This is incredible. But UI is ios inspired. Seems out of place in Android.
Yes, very disorienting
Yeah wefwef is the best right now for Apollo fans. If they can jerry rig the auto-marking-as-read as you scroll past posts, that will be great.
Arrived here from r/apolloapp and I’m pleasantly surprised! Perfect timing. I will miss Apollo as it shuts down tomorrow. Here’s hoping we have some good communities on Lemmy.
Haven’t figured out why I can’t search nsfw communities. For science of course

Currently using this. The experience is quite smooth so far despite not loading posts at times. Seems to be a good alternative to browsing lemmy through Safari.
How do you get it on Android?
It’s web-based, so you log into the site with your Lemmy credentials then click the menu button in your web browser and hit install. Info at https://wefwef.app/settings/install
Neat! I actually figured out liftoff, and I’m in contact with the dev to get images and media in posts to be visible while you comment (something rarely found in apps but super useful for transcribing) so I think I’m gonna stick with liftoff, but thank you for explaining!
Thanks for this suggestion, I just started using it and it seems great far
Thank you for sharing! I had not stumbled across this yet—it looks great. Writing this message from it.
Check out liftoff, I use it over jerboa. With the right settings it feels like I’m using rif again
