This photo is a tiny block I made a couple of weeks ago. It’s 5 inches finished size. It’s from a monthly program hosted by designer Janeen van Niekirk at quiltartdesign.com

I’ve got two other big projects in work as well as a few that just need binding and labels to finish.

I have this basted and partially quilted, and I will hopefully finish it within the week.

I really like your color choices! The blocks set off the center patch well. What is that pattern name?

It looks so soft and creamy! I have a hard time sticking to a consistent palette but love seeing others’ work that does!

Made 18 of these 6" blocks in a class a few years ago. Trying to figure out what to finally do with them to get them out of thr UFO bin 😄

I like crumb blocks a lot! I have an old quilt from an aunt from the 1970s made like this. It’s a throw size quilt and the maker obviously used some deconstructed clothes. It’s challenging to use odd numbers of blocks and 16 six inch blocks make a small quilt. With sashing and borders you could end up with a larger finish. You could also use the blocks as centers of sawtooth stars and get a larger quilt. Table toppers or runners are another good option. I’m sure when the time is right you will make the right decision on the finished result!

Skimpy kits are very disappointing! One of my favorite parts of a kit is adding bits to my stash, and not only does sending “just enough” deny me that pleasure, but I get really anxious about making a mistake and ending up short. I do like Moda bake shop patterns though!

Working on Legit Kit’s Lil Coffee. Got my first FPP experience with Atomic, that was enough to prep me for this kit. I love coffee and this is top will be mine.

I’m working on a quilt for my daughter to take to school for nap time (I wish adult nap time was a thing). It’s made from whatever scraps I have on hand arranged around linens I’ve been saving. The swan is from a pillow I was given as a girl but I scribbled it with pen and then blamed my little brother to get him in trouble (did not work). I’m so happy to finally have a project to repurpose it after cutting off the worst of the ink stains. This is my very first larger quilting project, I’ve only done bags and hot pads. The squares are 12" and I’m using a quilt as you go method.
