You could link a twitter account and tweet your screenshots and videos. I’ve never seen anyone use it.
I used it a lot because for a while it was the easiest way to share screenshots. In fact, that was the only reason I had Twitter at one time, when Sony’s native platform was misbehaving
Nobody uses it because it would just be spam that nobody cares about and people would unfollow. If it was just a screenshot that might be useful but I guarantee it comes with a gross marketing blurb and shady looking links to Sony stuff. Nobody wants that crap coming from their account so nobody uses any twitter integration ever.
I’ve seen plenty of gameplay clips shared on socials. Back when everyone was playing FALL GUYS and before Twitter became the Elon mess that it is today you’d saw clips of that all the time.
Loads of COD clips too, or people sharing some weird Cyberpunk glitch. It was pretty common.
I have made a tweet in the past. It was not about typing long text, just want to share a Screenshot with friends and it’s so annoying ti get images off the ps4. So making a fast tweet and send them a link was the most lazy option that came to my mind.
It wasn’t about really about tweets and more about being able to post screenshots and clips directly. I believe it also supports youtube and twitch or whatever

I used it to share screenshots. I think you could share video too, not sure what else.

This was one of the only viable ways to access the browser on ps5 though

Might be because browsers were pretty big entry points for homebrew/piracy on PS3/Vita?
I mean yeah, but there is still a browser in the PS5. It’s a requirement for things like modern payment methods.
Once you have access to it, redirecting it to wherever you want to go isn’t too hard to do, even without a URL bar. You can set up a local DNS server to take you where you want to go, no matter what URL the console is actually trying to access.

That sucks ass… Well, even if Twitter support goes down, you can still use the PS5 browser with some DNS trickery. It works the same as on the Switch.
I think you can still send you a google link on a PM and go from there, right?
Why do you need a browser on a PlayStation?
I think it was used as a discord workaround (at least for chat, not voice) as well as a way to do picture in picture of YouTube or other streaming services so you could multitask.

Damn switching to Xbox immediately
Xbox will no longer have any functionality except for reading and writing X posts. Video games are available for streaming to your Xbox from the infotainment system in a Tesla vehicle. Requires active subscription to Xbox Live, X Premium, Starlink and the Supercharger network.
