All joking aside, when I first played A Final Unity, I thought the idea of another Vulcan offshoot was the coolest thing.

    True story, when I was 7 I got this game for Christmas, installed it on the spot and started playing, but this lady was so intimidating that I got spooked, quit, and didn’t touch it again for years

    What is the offshoot’s name? Never played this one.

      Garidian. They’re a subject species of the Romulan Star Empire, and use similar ships, but theirs are a pale brown/grey with red designs.

      One of them showed up in the PIC prequel tie-in novel staring Troi and Riker, and apparently they’re in STO now as well.

    In weird things I don’t need to remember but do the patch notes for that included a change to the self destruct mechanism regarding whether it was only a bluff tactic or you could actually self destruct.

    To make things more odd I can’t recall which way the change was. I think it was to actually be able to self destruct.
