The Department of Tourism (DOT) on Thursday said ₱49 million was spent for the development of the government’s latest tourism campaign “Love the Philippines.”

Speaking to CNN Philippines’ The Source, Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco said the budget was used for the creation of the logo; the conduct of the global, regional, and local studies; and other components of the campaign.

“As far as next year is concerned, we are truly hopeful for support as far as rolling out the campaign here and abroad,” Frasco also said, adding that the DOT has submitted its proposed 2024 allocation to the Department of Budget and Management.

It looks derivative of already existing free fonts like Quiapo and Martires. Maybe a little smoother in some letters.

The download link on their website is dead, though. Idk why they were using a URL shortener to begin with, lol.

Yeah all of the links on the bottom part of their website are dead for some reason. DOT’s Zamboaga Office FB page has working Google Drive link of the font

They could have at least make a slogan with uniqueness simpleness, like “Love the islands,” “Mahal ka namin,” “Explore the islands,”

“Love The Philippines” is the most generic and forgettable slogan I’ve ever read. Not hating it, it’s just… eh.

that moment when deadline is upon you so you just copy pasted things.

In this case napunta na sa bulsa ng kung sino man budget tapos gumawa ng minimum viable product, kaso sa sobrang incompetent huli agad sila.
