Be aware that most plans will rise in price on July 1, so the price quote you get may not apply after that date.

There are a few companies that offer fixed rate plans (Nectr, Red Energy and Origin). They’ll be higher in price than most variable rate plans, but might be still worth it if the fixed rate is lower than the future variable rate.
