A Santa Rosa police officer allegedly sexted several teenage girls and had sex with a 15-year-old — considered statutory rape — while on duty and months after being hired by the department.

Joe Lucero-Gonzalez, 21, is charged with rape, possession of child sex abuse material and child solicitation. He was arrested Thursday by New Mexico State Police, which investigated the case.
