TLDR; the new web view is not feature complete yet, including comparability with Exchange Server.

I was excited to use the new outlook as it did add some nice QoL features. However, not being able to add shared inboxes that I have access to was a deal breaker and I had to revert. In the end, I think web based clients baked into a local application is a poor implementation and certainly not preferred.
