    What sorcery is this that to you can keep a cat out of a room without a door simply by disallowing it?!

      She is a demanding cat but the tradeoff is that she is extremely well behaved. Knows what she’s allowed on and what noise means she has to leave somewhere. So kitchen is usually okay but if I’m cooking or whatever I’ll make the noise and she’ll complain but leave. (And then complain from a reasonable-ish distance.)

      Except my stereo receiver, which in her defence, is a nice toasty place to sleep. So every so often I’ll wander into the living room and hear a very guilty meow as she leaps to pretend she wasn’t sleeping on the receiver.

        Just do your best to keep cat hair out of the receiver. My kitty killed my best HDMI receiver that way…

          Yeah, that’s why I try to keep her off.

          Good advice/reminder, I should probably go get double sided tape or whatever. I love my kitty but that receiver is one of the nicest things I have.
